Yes, you hate windows, it's ok, but there are too many users out there who use windows and only windows and the browsers of the windows. We have to find a solution for them too, haven't we?
The tests with the newer standalone installers are successful for now. I think that very soon the new version of Desktop PhantomSDR+ will be ready to control any rig from the menu. Very minor update to only App.svelte, and the whole thing will be done from the standalone applications for (all) Linux (32 & 64 + Raspberry) and Windows (32 & 64).
Now I am looking for a solution to support through the application, not only PhantomSDR+, but Kiwi, Uber and PA3FWM like WebSDR's. I am very near to it.

Very good idea Eric. I am already working some time on it in stand alone applications for Linux & Windows (https://www.websdr.fun/index.php?topic=287.0), which will include controllers like these in CatSync, for known transceivers.
Although Catsync is very effective and a low-cost application (only ~ 10 $ onetime fee), the problem is that it is a windows only app. The cost is not the problem (10$ once vs 25$ monthly for Claude), but the combability with different OS is really a problem and wine like solutions are not the best.
I would also like to prepare the stand-alone applications with MacOS combability too, as well the Windows .exe applications to be digitally signed, but the cost is not for me, so I'll give up the MacOS development, and I'll continue to offer windows applications unsigned.
So, good luck with the build, and when I am ready, I'll post my solution too.

New feature !  ;D   on the V 5.0.0  ;D  ;D  ;D

CAT control via TCI (Aether or other softwares with TCI capabilities) or Hamlib

Phantom Sound mute during TX and the button let you choice to synchronise Phanthom with the Rig Frequency.

Work perfect with Aether.

I need to start an old RIG (FT1000MP) to test the Hamlib version

Sorry but I won't paid for Catsync....only on windows

This was a minor update, not so needed for these that already run Admin Panel, but useful to them too.
No rebuild is needed.

Glad to read this Eric!
One more thing... the version is 4.0.0 and not (yet) 5.0.0  :)

Minor update for version 4.0.0

CLEAR LOGS COULD NOT EMPTY admin.log AND proxy.log

Pressing CLEAR LOGS in the panel's Log Viewer returned:

Could not clear admin.log ([Errno 13] Permission denied: .../admin.log),
  proxy.log ([Errno 13] Permission denied: .../proxy.log)

setup_admin.sh now fixes both halves when it installs the units: it corrects the ownership of the two logs, and it installs a systemd-tmpfiles rule that re-creates them with the right owner at every boot, before the units start.

Please:
reinstall Admin Panel with
./setup_admin.shthen:
run
sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/phantomsdr-admin.serviceand add: KillMode=process to the [Service] section, next to Restart=always, then:
save and exit.
then:
sudo systemctl daemon-reload

It does not restart anything, and the change takes effect from the next restart onwards.

Download the .zip and replace the files in ~/PhantomSDR-Plus directory.

P.S. Because of the file-size limitations of this forum, the updated documentation is not included in the uploaded archive. You will need to download the documentation separately from the repository. It is strongly recommended that you do so, as several help files have been updated and new documentation has been added. These files contain important information related to the new features and configuration options.

Quote from: F1NSK on Sep 11, 2026, 06:27 PMIf you have no signal on your own Phantom, diversity don't work....

Stay in searching state...

As I have already explained Eric in a previous post with the same question, the Receive Diversity is based on this principe:
We have TWO receivers, that they RECEIVE a signal, which is fading as always happens in HF, the function SYNCRONIZE the two receivers and every time gives the priority to the receiver that ITS SNR is better. The synchronization take place in parameters as latency for audio output (that's why you will never hear a doubled reception like an echo) and counting the SNR.
So, NO signal to one of the receivers, NO synchronization (what to synchronize?)

A very simple solution if we want a particular second receiver is to tune to a frequency that almost all SDR's can receive a signal e.g. 14074 KHz USB (FT8). The sychronization take place after 20 sec or more (or less) and then you can QSY where you wish.

P.S. The function ONLY works on SSB, AM & FM - NOT in digital modes, where the function is ignored.

An example of synchronization of YOUR receiver with mine, in my SDR
